Holland Theater: Holland High Theatre presents Hello, Dolly! An old-timey musical following the life of Dolly Levi! This is a different musical than HHS has put on, but a timeless classic! The songs are fun and catchy! The set pieces are big! The costumes are AMAZING!  Shows are 4/25-4/28. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00pm Tickets are $15. Get your tickets here TODAY!

Power Rangers Volleyball: For any senior or junior who is interested in playing Power Rangers; practice will be held on Wednesday, May 1st right after school and will go until 3:00. Seniors will be in the dome and juniors will be in the auxiliary gym. The game will be held May 5th at 7:30 in the Dome. Permission slips are in the athletic office and can be turned into the athletic office, as well. Permission slips must be turned in before the practice. 

Class of 2024 Senior All-Night Party (SANP): Tickets to the May 21 All-Night Party are available for purchase through Monday, May 13. Ticket price is $20 per student with sponsorship funds available for students who need assistance. Schedule for the event is below.

TUESDAY, MAY 21 - FOLLOWING COMMENCEMENT 

9-9:45 PM: Check in for the SANP at HHS (front entrance) and board buses.

10 PM: Depart HHS for event venue in Grand Rapids.

11PM - 4 AM: Enjoy great food, special entertainment, prizes, and a variety of activities as you celebrate your high school graduation!

4:15 AM: Board busses to return to Holland High School.

5:15-5:30 AM: Arrival back in Holland.

The SANP will be fully chaperoned by parents and other volunteers.

All attendees must complete and return an Event Waiver prior to the party. Waivers can be picked up and returned to Ms. Davenport in the SSO. She also has the Venmo QR code for ticket purchases and can now accept cash payments. Seniors 18 and older can sign their own waivers, but those under 18 will need to have a parent or guardian sign.

Baseball: The Holland Dutch led or were tied with the Mona Shores Sailors for nearly six innings until a huge seven-run, error-filled inning put Sailors in the lead for the remainder of the game. Both teams struggled with errors, with 13 total committed between the two. The Dutch at-bats improved throughout the game, with Junior Abel Walkotten accounting for three of the seven team hits. He also drove in three and scored one. Fellow Junior Jacob Torres had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs. Juniors Gabe Bos and Peyton Lehman accounted for the remaining two hits. On the mound, Junior Peyton Lehman took the undeserving lose going five and a third and allowing six runs, only one of which was earned, on three hits and three walks. He struck out one batter. Juniors Robbie Wiersma and Cody Rozema accounted for the remaining two outs, allowing two unearned runs on one hit. The Dutch fell to to 6-5 and 5-4 in the OK Green. They visit the Zeeland West Dux on Tuesday, April 30 for their next conference series. The Holland Dutch were able to keep the Mona Shores Sailors off the board in the final three innings of the resumed game two from Tuesday. On Tuesday, the Dutch left with the 4-2 lead after a three-run third-inning that started with three straight singles by Junior Gabe Bos, Senior Andres Tapia, and Junior Abel Walkotten, which was followed by a two-run double from Freshman Ethan Byrd. Senior Emmett Book then scored on a passed ball to cap the three-run inning. On the mound, Tapia held the Sailors to three runs (two earned) on three hits and three walks, while striking out one. With the bases loaded and one out, Tapia & the Dutch's nights were cut short by thunderstorms. On Thursday, the game picked up right where it left off, except with Byrd on the mound who struck out the first batter and drew a pop-fly to second base to end the Sailor threat. Byrd finished the game, allowing two hits and no runs and earning his first Varsity save. The Dutch bats were quiet in the resumed half of the game - Junior Peyton Lehman was the only batter to get on base with a single to right field in the bottom of the sixth. The Dutch improved to 6-4 and 5-3 in the OK Green with the win.

Women's Track and Field: On a sunny afternoon up north in Muskegon the Lady Dutch Track Team defeated Reeths Puffer by a tight four-point margin 66-62. Burning the track with first places for the Lady Dutch with Personal Records and Regional Qualifying marks were Madalyn Daniels in the 100m (13.05)RQ and the 200m (26.76)PR/RQ. Alba Rodriguez-Lima in the High Jump (4-10)RQ, the 100m hurdles (17.68), and the 300m hurdles (54.69). Makayla Clark in the Discus (59-11). The 4x200 Relay team of Amiyah Guy, Amari Copado, Niema Elizalde and Miona Rodgers (1:58.26). Taking second place was Miona Rodgers in the 200m (27.76)PR/RQ. Saige Moes in the 800m (2:46.84)PR. Miriam Lopez-Koolhaas in the 100m hurdles (18.18), 300m Hurdles (55.33) and Pole Vault (7-0). Heaven Hicks in the Shot Put (23-4.5).  Isabella Porretta in the Discus (58-11). Kaylie Clark in the Long Jump (13-1). Third-place finishers were Miona Rodgers in the 100m (13.55). Niema Elizalde in the 400m (1:11.82)PR.  Harper Schoon-Tanis in the 800m (2:54.72)PR. Abby Wilson in the 1600m (6:16.77). Makayla Clark in the Shot Put (22-9). Clarise England in the Discus (57-6). Yulissa Lopez-Pimentel in the Long Jump (13-0.5). The Lady Dutch are now 4-2 in the Conference competition. They travel to GR to take on Union and Mona Shores on Wednesday. 

Men's Track and Field: On a beautiful sunny afternoon, the Holland Boys posted 35 PRs on their way to a victory against Rockets of Reeths-Puffer.  With 9 first-place finishes, the Dutch were led by Senior, Noah Lambers, who placed first in all three of his events. Lambers won first place in the 1600m, 800m, and 3200m races, scoring 15 points for the Dutch. Other first-placed finishers for the Dutch were: Willem Evenson - Pole Vault (11'6"), Ian Chavis - Long Jump (19'1"), Elijah Jackson - Shot Put (39'10.5"), Seth Rodriguez - Discus (122'1"), Harper Prutch - 300m Hurdles (44.29), and Rian Powers, Alessandro Castillo, Harrison Kooyer, Nazario Estrada - 3200m Relay (9:04.22). Second-place finishers were: Usher Laurencio - 100m, Jamonte Rodgers - 400m, Powers - 800m, Kooyer - 1600m, Prutch - 110m Hurdles, Ethan Mercado - 300m Hurdles, Jackson - Discus, and Angel Cortez - Pole Vault. Third-place finishers were: Chavis - 200m, 400m, Castillo - 1600m, 800m, Josh Villa - 3200m, Alex French - 300m Hurdles, Michael French - Long Jump, and Rodriguez - Shot Put. The Dutch will travel to Grand Rapids Houseman Field to take on the Union Red Hawks and Mona Shores Sailors next Wednesday.  The boys are now 2-3 on the season and will be looking for a couple more tallies in the win column.  Let's Go Dutch!

Women's Tennis: Playing in consecutive days, the Holland Dutch took on Unity Christian in a non-conference contest today. In what has proven to be a theme this season, it was a battle between two even teams, ultimately finishing in a 4-4 tie. Winning matches for the Dutch were Kate Ferguson (#4 singles), Claudia Kurniawan & Amaya Hallacy (#2 doubles), Haleigh Souder & Kristin Messer (#3 doubles), and the #4 doubles team of Nicole Souder & Kiernan Grigg. "I love the way we compete," said Holland coach Kyle Kreps. "Unity Christian is a strong team. We will learn from today and use it to help us moving forward." Holland is now 6-2-1 on the season.

Women's Soccer: On Thursday, Holland traveled to Wyoming and beat the Wildcats 6-1. Keoni Gainey scored two goals and Leah Margaron, Emma Margaron, Ashley Saldana, and Olivia Weiss each tallied. "Wyoming pressured us from the beginning," said Holland soccer coach Greg Ceithaml. "I thought we should have moved the ball better, but we will learn from this and work on our possession in practice." Holland is now 2-4-1. In JV action, Holland defeated Wyoming 6-0.
