From our PBIS Team (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support)

Hey families, do you know what POWER stands for? Well, our students have been learning all about POWER expectations.  Please review these at home; P - Pride, O - Own your actions, W - Wise choices, E - Engaged, and R - Respect

Our Power Squad team is now ready to go.  This year we have two teams that will be rotating monthly.  The Red team is:  Canon, Breslin, Pepi, Teeyana, Cera, and Mati.  The White team is: Viktor, Will, Elliot, Hailey, Emmalee, and Claire.

The job of the Power Squad is to help support positive behaviors in our school this year.  One of the jobs is to help create videos in which other children from the school can view and learn how to make good decisions based on our POWER expectations at West Elementary.

October 6th we had our first school wide celebration for filling up our power ticket jar.  Students earned a celebration of extra recess with their friends and a special treat.

*At Parent Teacher conferences, there will be a survey for families about our school community.  Those that fill out the survey will be entered into a drawing.
