PTO Update - Spring 2021

We wish you a safe, healthy spring and summer.  Thank you again for all you’ve helped us accomplish and for supporting PTO and the students, teachers, and families of HPS through this unique and challenging year.


Our Read-A-Thon Fundraiser was a huge success!  Our collaborative effort raised over $36,395 in pledges and readers logged 272,446 minutes read.  We would like to offer an extra thank you to our corporate sponsor, West Michigan Community Bank.  

We are optimistic that next school year will bring a return to many of the events PTO traditionally helps sponsor throughout the year.  We have budgeted the Read-A-Thon funds for field trips and classroom cash for K-8 classrooms across the district.  Your support has helped ensure that we will be ready for 2021-2022.  

Although the pandemic brought many challenges, it has also offered the District PTO Board an opportunity to come together across schools to support the teachers, staff, students, and families of HPS in an equitable way.  As a board, we have felt the benefits of this collaboration and look forward to strengthening it as we look toward the future.  

We are always looking for new members to join our group.  You would be a great addition!  Contact your building representatives for more information and to get involved.
