Going Remote - April 12-22

HHS/HEC/HVRT - Information for Upcoming Week of Remote Learning

I hope you have enjoyed a restful and relaxing Spring Break.  As we look ahead to the upcoming week, there are some important details to note in addition to the information included in Dr. Davis’ email yesterday.

Careerline Tech Center (CTC) classes will still be in-person.  Transportation will be provided to and from Careerline Tech Center.  Pick-up and drop-off locations and times will be consistent with our normal schedule.  If you are a Careerline Tech student who normally rides the bus to Holland High School before heading to CTC, bus drivers will be driving their morning routes, so that you can ride the bus to Holland High School before boarding the bus to CTC.

Davenport University classes will still be in-person.  Transportation will be provided to and from Davenport University for Holland Early College students.  Pick-up and drop-off locations and times will be consistent with our normal schedule.  If you are a Holland Early College student who normally rides the bus to Holland High School before heading to Davenport University, bus drivers will be driving their morning routes, so that you can ride the bus to Holland High School before boarding the bus to Davenport.

Categorical Programs:  Students in our Mildly Cognitively Impaired (MiCI), Moderately Cognitively Impaired (MoCI), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and English Learner (EL) programs will also be learning remotely.

Spring Athlete Antigen Testing:  We will be conducting our Spring Athlete Antigen Testing on Monday morning at Holland High School.  Careerline Tech Center (CTC) students will be tested when they return from CTC on Monday morning.  Based on the data that we collect on Monday morning, our administrative team will make an informed decision about how to proceed with athletic practices and contests over the next two weeks.  Please look for a more detailed communication this weekend from Mr. Farkas about Monday’s testing schedule.

The expectations for Remote Learning over the next two weeks are outlined in this Remote Learning document.  They are consistent with the expectations for the other times this school year when the high school has pivoted to remote learning.  Please review this document for additional details about the days and times that classes will be meeting virtually.

As always, thank you for your flexibility and understanding.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and please reach out if you have any questions.
