Standing in Solidarity with our Asian American Community

In recent weeks, we have observed multiple incidents of discrimination and violence against the Asian American community worldwide.  Holland Public Schools stand in solidarity with our Asian American Community.

Right now, many of our colleagues and community members are living through experiences we cannot fully understand. We can do our part as a district and as individuals by understanding what is happening and the impact on our staff, students, and families. In order to put in the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion, we must learn from each other and support each other.

  • If you are a HPS staff member and would like to process these events and learn more, please feel free to reach out to me.
  • If you are a student struggling with the recent incidents, please reach out to a teacher,  a member of our student services team, a building administrator, or another trusted adult to help process what you are experiencing. I am also available to talk with you.

Please feel free to reach out to me at tmczee@hollandpublicschools.org or 616-494-2142.
