Scholarship Deadline Coming for CFHZ

The scholarship application deadline for the Community Foundation of Holland/Zeeland is coming right up at 5:00 pm next Monday, March 1.

 

Helton Family Scholarship

  1. Graduating senior, graduating early college student, or current college student from Holland High School
  2. Enrolled/enrolling at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
  3. Able to demonstrate financial need.

All other qualifications being equal, students majoring in science or engineering will be given special consideration. Previous recipients of the award may reapply.

Jack and Thelma Leenhouts Scholarship

  1. Graduating senior or graduating early college student from Holland High School
  2. Enrolling in a 4-year bachelor's degree program at an accredited post-secondary school in the United States
  3. Financial need (must submit page of Student Aid Report showing Expected Family Contribution amount)
  4. GPA of 3.0 or higher
  5. Planning to pursue a career in education, music, public administration, or business (or a closely-related field including accounting, economics, or finance)

Note: High involvement in school/community activities and church preferred. Potentially renewable for three additional years.

Donald J. and Lileeth Brouwer Van Ark Scholarship

  1. Graduating senior or graduating early college student from Holland High School
  2. Enrolling in a 4-year degree program in education/teaching at an accredited post-secondary school in the United States
  3. Financial need (must submit page of Student Aid Report showing Expected Family Contribution amount).
  4. GPA of 2.7 or higher

Note: Potentially renewable for two additional years

Margaret VanVyven Music Scholarship 

  1. Graduating senior or graduating early college student from Holland High School
  2. Enrolling in a 2 or 4-year program, leading to a career in music either as a teacher or as a performer, at an accredited post-secondary school in the United States
  3. Financial need (must submit page of Student Aid Report showing Expected Family Contribution amount)
  4. GPA of 3.0 or higher
  5. One of the two required recommendations must come from applicant's teacher of instrumental or vocal music

Note: Potentially renewable for three additional years.
