This month HPD Ofc. Jose Padron-Hernandez introduced the Student Problem Solvers at HLA!!!

Program for selected 5^th graders to “patrol” the playground during lunch.
Teams of 2 work together and have the opportunity to resolve issues themselves.
Teaches lifelong skills – communication, listening and critical thinking.
Creates a safe, more compassionate school climate for everyone.

Ofc. Padron was part of a similar program when he attended elementary school.
