Cooperative Education and Community Classroom Programs
Welcome to the Career Preparation Center's website for Holland High School. The Career Prep Center is responsible for managing the Holland High School Cooperative Education and Community Classroom work-study programs. Work-study programs are designed to give students the opportunity to earn high school credit for learning job skills within a planned program. It is hoped that this site will provide you with all the information you will need while inquiring about a work study placement or to answer the questions of the students, parents of a student, or student employers who are currently involved in a work-study placement.
Specific information about the Cooperative Education and Community Classroom programs, downloadable applications for entry, and required assignment downloads are available by clicking on the appropriate link to the right side of this page under the Career Prep Office tab.
To apply for either Cooperative Education or Community Classroom, obtain and complete the application. You will need to download and turn in a Parent Permission to Participate Form and Employer / Internship Placement Information Form in addition to the application to begin the application process.
The deadline for enrollment in either program is student count day which is usually the 4th Wednesday of the semester.
If you have further questions concerning either the Cooperative Education or Community Classroom programs, you can contact Mark VanHarmelen, Career Prep Coordinator at 616-494-2333 or firstname.lastname@example.org
