Technology Integration Matrix
Holland Public Schools will be using the Technology Integration Matrix developed by the Florida Center for Instructional Technology as a guide to develop and model effective technology integration in our schools. The model itself "provides a framework for defining and evaluating technology integration; sets a clear vision for effective teaching with technology; gives teachers and administrators a common language for setting goals; and helps target professional development resources effectively."
One of the great features of the matrix is the inclusion of grade level appropriate videos which illustrate the integration of technology into the core instructional areas. Teachers are able to observe technology integration into the classroom with purposeful connections to the content standards.
The goal is for teachers to get started! Whether you are at an entry level position or on your way to transformation this tool and the professional staff development that will be provided over the next 2-3 years will assist you in your journey.
We also want students to move within the matrix as well as the transition from active learners to goal directed learners.
