The HPS Web Team asked every school principal for the following information.
What do you like best about West Middle?
Our warm and friendly environment. There's always a buzz of
activity . We have high expectations and our teachers are very good
at what they do. Our students try to do the right thing because
they want to.
Thinking back, what is one of your favorite childhood school
memories?
I loved my mother's constant involvement in my elementary school.
She was PTA President, and she was always at school.
What teacher in your life had an influence on you?
Why?
My 9th grade choir teacher. I had great training in accompanying
the choir on piano. Because of her, I knew back then what I wanted
to do in my career.
What three words or phrases would people who know you well
probably use to describe you?
humorous - a positive motivator - willing to hold kids and adults
accountable
What is something about you that people would be surprised to
know?
Sometimes people laugh when they hear my maiden name (Murray),
because then I become Kathryn Murray Curry.
What is the newest hobby or interest area you have picked
up?
My husband, four children and I have really gotten into gardening.
It's been something we can all work on together..
