HPS Curriculum Information
The federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 mandated the existence of a set of comprehensive state grade level assessments that are designed based on rigorous grade level content. This simply means that the state of Michigan had to clearly state what students should know and be able to do as they progress through school. As a result, the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) created a manual of Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCE). Our Holland Public School curriculum is aligned to this manual as required by the State of Michigan.
