Sandra Foster - Special Education Teacher
Hi, my name is Sandy Foster. Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year.
I am a Special Education teacher at Holland Jefferson. I serve students who have identified special needs in a wide variety of areas. The areas of need include: Cognitive Impairments, Learning Disabilities, Emotional Impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Other Health Impairments. They all have an Individual Education Plan (IEP), which indicates the amount of time and instruction each student will receive.
This year I am serving 4th and 5th grade students. Based on their needs I work with students in small groups or collaborate with teachers in the general ed classroom. Teamwork with all staff is an important part of insuring student success as we strive to include students in the least restrictive environment.
