Welcome to Dawn Collins' webpage
Hi! My name is Dawn Collins and I’m the guidance counselor for NT students as well as the testing coordinator for both NT and HHS. I’ve just begun my 15th year in education and I’ll say that I can’t believe it! Fifteen years of being blessed in following my passion, which is working with students. Each day is a new and exciting challenge when working with teenagers, but I thrive on assisting them in learning more about themselves and growing in ways where they will be productive and successful young adults to society.
I’ve graduated from Western Michigan University, not once, but twice. The first time around, I earned my bachelor’s degree is in Elementary Education and shortly after graduation, I began teaching 4th and 5th grade and continued to do so for 7 years. However, during my time as a classroom teacher, I decided to go to back to school and earn my master’s degree in K-12 Counseling Education. So, for the past almost 8 years, I’ve been a high school guidance counselor. I’m very fortunate to be working with an incredible team at HNT and HHS
A little about me, I have 3 children and 4 stepchildren. Being a mom and wife has added so much happiness to my life! I love every moment I spend with them & watching them grow and become little thinkers…..it’s absolutely amazing what they observe and come up with and comment on!
I'm happy to help any way I'm able to and please feel free to contact me at 494-2707 or dcollins@hollandpublicschools.org.
