Hello. I'm Renee Visser, I will be the Special Education Teacher at Holland New Tech High School this year. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child. I am looking forward to getting to know you throughout the year, which surely promises to bring with it, many new experiences and challenges. In order to make the year a successful one, teamwork and cooperation will be required by all. As your son or daughter's special education support teacher, it is my goal to help him/her become a confident learner and I will do my best to make this year a positive experience for your child. I look forward to working in partnership with you throughout the coming year and I am confident that together we can provide the support and encouragement needed to help your child excel. AT NEW TECH: My job here is slightly different than it would be at a traditional high school. I offer a resource class every afternoon at Holland New Tech High School. In this workshop class, students receive support as well as their IEP accommodations allowing them to be successful in their courses. While at New Tech, I co-teach which means I am in the classrooms assisting all students, but especially those on my caseload.
LOOKING AHEAD (September 26 - October 16):
MEAP Testing will take place on Oct. 11, 12, 18, and 19.
