Welcome to Dan Telgenhof's web page
This is my 14th year teaching for Holland Public Schools with the last six coming at Holland High School. I am a graduate of Holland High School myself in 1993 and was excited to give back to a district that gave so much to me. I am also a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in History and Social Studies/Sciences. Teaching and coaching is a rewarding experience as I help students develop into successful members of our community.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out what is going on in my AP Government, Psychology, US History or Contemporary US History classes. I am also the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and you can find team information on this site as well.
Prototype Classroom Project: This year I will be spending part of my day teaching from a prototype pilot classroom. We will focus on a driving question while implementing 21st century learning skills. We will have access to several exciting technologies and room designs as we work to find what fits us best at Holland Public Schools.
Looking Ahead - Beginning of The School Year
AP Government - Is our democracy doomed? This is the question we will be exploring and trying to answer as we move throughout the term. In order to explore this question in depth we will be using project based instruction.
Psychology A - We will spend the first portion of this class exploring how the mind works as well as how and why people do the things they do.
Varisty Basketball - We will continue our out of season conditioning and weightlifting programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the weight room. The season begins on Nov. 7!
