Hello, I'm Dave Bast, technology integration specialist for Holland Public Schools. During the 2011-12 school HPS has set up 7 classrooms whose teachers have agreed to pilot the technology tools that will be utilized throughout the district as we re-configure our buildings using funds from our recently passed bond.
These prototype classrooms will serve as a model for the new high school building that will be completed in stages over the next few years. Our K-7 classrooms will also undergo new technology designs as we phase these tools in there as well.
This year at Holland High marks the official start to our Broadcast Journalism class. Kevin Schneider and I will be working with a group of 27 students who will produce a school news show which is meant to inform and entertain the students and staff. These videos will be available to view on our Vimeo Channel as well as our school website. Here's an example:
