Curious Kindergartners
Welcome to kindergarten at Holland Heights! My name is Cheryl Jones, and I have been teaching in the Holland schools for 29 years. The kindergarten year is filled with new experiences and fun learning. We learn the importance of acting safely, respecting others, and taking responsibility. We spend a lot of time learning letters and letter sounds so that we can prepare to read. Sorting, making patterns, graphing, counting, writing numbers, and simple addition and subtraction are some of the math goals for the year. The kindergarten year is a tremendous year of growth.
