My name is Suzanne Walters. I am the 6th/7th grade teacher at Holland Heights.

I graduated from Hope College in 1990 with a degree in Special Education: Learning Disabilities. I have also a Masters of Education Degree from Grand Valley State University in Special Education: Emotional Impairment. Additionally I have completed graduate work through the ACE program studies of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Throughout my career I have worked as a teacher in Special Education Learning Centers, Resource Rooms and General Education classrooms. I started my career in Buchanan Public Schools, then South Haven Public Schools, and the majority of my career has been at Holland Public Schools.

In Holland Public Schools I have had the pleasure of working with many talented instructors and students at VanRaalte, Longfellow, Jefferson, Maplewood, East and Holland Heights.

I am also the parent of two children. Elizabeth and Meredith have been students at Holland Heights as well. Together we all believe everyone can learn it just takes extra practice sometimes!!!

Please read Holland Heights Newsletters to get most recent updates of what is happening in our school!

The best way to contact me is email swalters@hollandpublicschools.org. IF it is an emergency, call the school office at 616-494-2750

Please note that I check voicemail and email once a day. At other times during the day I am working directly with students and teachers.  Please contact the office at 616 494 2750 if you have an urgent message.
