Welcome to Ann Thaxton's home page
I am a Learning Center teacher at Holland Heights for grades 2, 3 and 4. I share a classroom with Sarah Groenheide, the Kindergarten-1st grade Learning Center teacher, and 4 instructional assistants. A wide range of learners come to the Learning Center throughout the school day. We work hard on reading, writing, math, language development, social, emotional skills. and sensory integration. We strive to create a positive and productive environment where we uphold high expectations for each individual and his or her unique needs. We collaborate with our Occupational Therapist and and co-teach with our Speech Therapist for an integrated experience.
