Welcome to Kim Rosenau's web page
Hello! I'm Kim Rosenau. Welcome to 6th Grade English Language Arts at Holland Heights! This is my 16th year teaching and it is as exciting as ever! I enjoy teaching part time at this stage of my career, because it allows me to be home with my 4 year old and active in my children's school. My two older children are in 3rd and 6th grade this year. Our family enjoys kayak rides, spending time at the beach, and trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. One interesting fact about our family is that all of our first names start with the letter, K! I love to write and read and have fun sharing those joys with my students.
Students are expected to be safe, respectful, responsible, and ready to learn & work.
LOOKING AHEAD (September): Parents will want to note that we will start the year by writing a narrative piece on the first day of school. We will come back to that piece as we work on narrative writing. The first 2 weeks of school will focus on a study of the language used in formal tests.
We Have A Class Website: Here is link where I post most of my information for parents. It will be updated on a regular basis. You will find due dates for assignments there and strategies students are being taught and expected to use. Please note that it takes you away from our HPS website. If you have difficulty viewing or accessing the information as it's posted here, please let me know right away.
