PTO Field Trip Funding Guidelines

The “Field Trip Funding Request” form must be submitted to have PTO pay for any part of a field trip, including transportation.
It is the philosophy of PTO that field trip funds are to be used throughout the school year for educational trips that enhance students’ learning experience. Field trip funds are not to be used for end of year celebration trips or class parties. (Trips to the Aquatic Center are ok since swimming is supported by the curriculum.)
PTO will cover up to the budgeted amount for each classroom. Any overages will be the responsibility of the classroom teacher.
Teachers may “pool” their field trip funds and use it for trips for the entire grade in their building.
Field trip funds will not “carry over” into the next school year if not used.
