2014-2015 PTO K-7 Field Trip Funding
The HPS PTO will continue offering financial support towards field trips that meet educational requirements and enhance the learning experiences of HPS K-7 students. Below you will find forms and information on requesting field trip funding from the PTO.
It is the philosophy of the HPS PTO that field trip funds are to be used during the school year for educational outings and opportunities that enhance students learning experiences while meeting educational requirements. Field trip funding is not to be used for end of the year celebrations or class parties. The exception to this rule is field trips to the Holland Aquatic Center, as swimming is supported by the HPS curriculum.
Field trip funding requests CAN:
- cover the bussing to and from an event via HPS or MAX bussing services.
-cover full or partial admission or field trip costs
-be “pooled” between one or more classroom teachers for a multi-grade/class trip
Field trip funding requests CANNOT:
-“roll over” from year to year. Funds are available only during the calendar school year
-be applied towards classroom parties or classroom rewards
***The HPS PTO reserves the right to deny field trip funding requests which go against the HPS field trip guidelines and/or against administration rulings***
For field trip funding requests, please fully complete the attached PTO FIELD TRIP REQUEST FORM. Completed application forms must be submitted via hard copy in the PTO mailbox (found in each K-7 Building) at least 2 weeks prior to the field trip date.
