Welcome To Mrs. Hescott's Page
I am Mrs. Hescott and I teach 6th and 7th grade special education students at Holland EastK7. The middle school students in my class study all academic subject areas and use technology in many of their studies.
These are some of the exciting things happening during the month of October:
• Our completely re-vamped classroom website is up and running. You'll find this one to be just as user friendly as our prior site. It contains much information to assist students in practicing skills they already know, or places to visit to learn something new. Check it out with your student!
• We have finished all of our MEAP testing (good job students!) and are returning to our normal classroom schedule. We are studying climate and weather in Social Studies, and are working on place value in math.
• Our first marking period ends on November 2 - look for information coming home about scheduling parent-teacher conferences around this time. Conferences are from November 12 to November 15.
For additional information about all of the subject areas we study please visit our classroom website.
Our classroom website is designed to be easy to use for both students and parents. You can find information about our classroom and take a look at what we are studying here. You'll also find links to websites which I have selected with online practice activities to support our curriculum.
