Reading is Tops at Van Raalte
"Celebrate Reading" was the theme of the April 30 Parent Literacy Night at Van Raalte School. We wanted to give parents a chance to see the many ways we focus on reading every day of the year and to join in celebrating the reading successes of their children. For several weeks before the Parent Night we videotaped students engaged in partner reading, read alouds, Read Naturally, reading groups, poetry reading, readers' theater, singing about books, as well as other reading activities.
