Behind-the-scenes of our Preview Nights, Honors Convocation, Fiesta Night at Jefferson Elementary, and a Migrant Summer Celebration there was a group of students helping set-up, break-down, serve food, and play games.
We would like to thank the Latino All-Stars from Holland High School for volunteering their time to take part in these activities. The newly formed student group, Latino All-Stars from Holland High School was established this past January of 2009. Their mission is to change the image of Latinos in school and the community by taking a leadership role in meeting the needs of the Latino students through academic achievement, cultural awareness, and community service. Their school sponsors are both of the school district’s Student Advisors, Ms. Brenda Mulkey and Mr. John Vega. The Latino All-Stars started off with 20 interested students this year. They hope to double that for the next upcoming school year.
