2017-18 Meal Charge Policy
Holland Public Schools Food Service Meal Charge Policy is as follows:
We encourage students/families to apply for Free/Reduced benefits as well as deposit money into the student lunch account. We give a 3 meal grace period or $-8.55 before students are either given an alternative meal or meals are suspended. Students at the HS are informed of their negative balance at the register and emails are sent regularly for those with an email on file. K-7 students with a balance of 1 meal owed (-$2.60/-$2.85), a note will be sent home stating the balance owed. If monies are not received the following day, a phone call is made and on the 3rd day (-$7.80/-$8.55) the student will receive an alternate meal until the account is up to date.
According to MDE Admin Policy No. 6, 8/2016, we are no longer allowed to carry over student meal account debt and as such all negative account balances must be paid by June 5, 2019. All meals should be paid for at the point of service or money should be deposited into their account. Deposits can be made in each cafeteria, school office or online at www.sendmoneytoschool.com
